After being blocked by snow for weeks, the road into the cabin finally open. My new BFGoodrich T/A KO2 tires mounted on the old red truck carried us through the snow, around the old Whorl Ranch (where three neighbors had gotten stuck just a few days before, who had to be pulled ou by lovely neighbor Oscar Orozco)! The new tires gave us great confidence! (Even having and wanting to test our new tires, we should have taken the Ferret Circle bypass to be safe!) 🚒
Winds were very high – up to 49 mph! The highighest daytime temperatures were only 32 derees, and it takes quite a bit of effort to walk straight into the wind!
Denver can be very pleasant in January. The Denver Art Museum and Museum of Nature and Science often have popular exhibitions still running after the holiday season, the Denver Botanic Gardens feature their annual Orchid Showcase, restaurants are less crowded and parking much more convenient.
